Sydney City Central Business District (CBD) is filled with things to do, places to visit and see. Sydney offers world class shopping centres, designer boutiques, department stores and speciality shops.

The city’s underground railway makes it easy to get around, with shopping, restaurants, cafe’s, lots of attractions and sightseeing. There are many major attractions, such as the AMP Tower Centrepoint, with two revolving restaurants with views of the city from the harbour to the Blue Mountains; the Art Gallery of NSW displaying famous Australian and international artists work, including an excellent Aboriginal art collection; Hyde Park Barracks with artefacts, displays and exhibits relating to convict life; Museum of Sydney, the Justice and Police Museum, Customs and the Australian Museum.

Sydney has civic spaces (such as Martin Place and Pitt St Mall) and beautiful parks within the CBD area. The Royal Botanic Gardens, with over 30 hectares right on the harbour, has beautiful walks along the harbour foreshore; Hyde Park is a leafy oasis in the centre of the city, with giant fig trees and fountains. St Mary's Cathedral, right beside Hyde Park, is one of the finest examples of English-style gothic churches in the world. Cook + Phillip Park is a unique public facility combining a state-of-the-art indoor aquatic, fitness and recreation centre with a green and tranquil parkland setting.

The Rocks, by Circular Quay at the foot of the city, is Australia’s finest restored historical district, with cobbled streets, restaurants and eateries of all kinds, pubs dating back to the early days and a lively market on weekends. In downtown Sydney, Chinatown offers not only excellent Chinese and Asian foods, but has all kinds of Asian speciality shops; the Spanish Quarter on Liverpool street offers some excellent Spanish Restaurants where you can feast on Chorizo, Paella and Tapas.

Whatever your interests, Sydney CBD is a vibrant city of diverse cultures and experiences, waiting to be explored.
