STS Festival
Francisco Forquera y Carolina Bonaventura

Carolina Bonaventura and Francisco Forquera are professional tango dancers, teachers and choreographers, who joined as a dance couple in March 2008. Before that, both had already shown a wonderful career in the world of tango for over 15 years. Francisco was the star of Forever Tango and Carolina had travelled the world participating in various festivals and delivering different workshops.

Together they now lead Mariposita de San Telmo (, one of the most prominent tango schools in Buenos Aires (Argentina), located in the famous neighbourhood of San Telmo.

Their classes are characterized by a clear focus in music, with an excellent explanation of body movement and with teachings rooted in the tradition of the classic Tango. They base their teaching on easy technique for men and women, tango salon, tango stage, milonga, vals and professional coaching, attracting regular students from all over the world.

Carolina and Francisco dance Tango from the depths of their inner selves, elaborating on their sensory and spiritual connection. The intensity of their embrace, their precision and perception, allow them to achieve a rare musical interpretation and exploration without losing the traditional essence of Argentine Tango.
